Graystone Wine Imports Inc.

The name "Graystone" evolved over three generations. Ron Sweatman, President of Graystone Wine Imports, shared the same middle name "Gray" with his wife's beloved grandmother. Ron Sweatman merged "Stone" with "Gray" to signify strength and endurance over time...a fitting name to represent wine that has been produced for hundreds of years in picturesque Moldova.

Once the idea became reality, two families have come together to strengthen the Graystone legacy — the Sweatman family of Virginia and the Curbet family from Moldova. The Curbets’ professional knowledge and background in the Moldovan wine industry is a dearly prized asset for our venture. Being able to supervise the wine making process from start to finish is of outmost importance in any production process, especially when your goal is to achieve perfection. The Sweatmans have long shared a passion for wine. They provide a direction for the design and effective marketing of the finished product. Their combined experiences, knowledgeable insight and ties with the local communities have a direct link with the company’s success.
